Game Map
Game Map
The Game Map is one of the most important items in the game of Evernight. It can instantly provide you with an enormous amount of information such as: geograhpy of the world, region types, region owner, locations of structures, forms and lessers, and the deployment status of your lessers.
There are actually three parts to the Game Map:
Navigation Controls
Above the Game Map are the Navigation Controls. These buttons will take you to the various other sections of Evernight. The other sections are: The Citadel, Email, Newsgroups. There is also a link to return to the Evernight Game Lobby.
The Map
Use the Game Map to investigate the world of Evernight and its regions. To display information about any region, click on the region name or in the center of the region on the map (if you have the region names turned off). The Region Information Page displays to the right of the map.
By looking at the map, you can see several pieces of information about each region. On the map itself, the Terrain Type of the region will be displayed.
Regions will be color-coded to show ownership or terrain type as follows:

Another players regions.
Water
The Black Between
Mountain
Colors Available
Floating above the map image are additional pieces of information about each region.
Each region will have a Region Name displayed above it. Click on this name to bring up the Region Information Page to the right of the map.
All regions containing Fortresses will have a Fortress icon on them.
Likewise, all regions containing a Temple will have a Temple icon on them.
The Temple icons will vary depending on the Religion of the Temple located at the region.
If there are any Forms at a region, then an icon depicting the type of the Form will appear over the region.
The last piece of information displayed above the region is the Number of Lessers at this region.
If you are the owner of the region, you see the number of lessers that have been deployed as a ratio of the total number of lessers at the region.
If you are not the owner of the region, you see only the total number of lessers at the region (unless the region is a Forest region, then the number of lessers is hidden from you).
Map Controls
Located below the Game Map are the Map Controls. Use these controls to Zoom in and Out on the map, and to change what information is displayed on the map.
There are arrows that allow you to move in eight different directions:
The controls to actually pan around the map are located over the map itself.
Click Locate Region to find a particular region by name, or click Empire Info to display the Empire Information Page to the right of the map.
You can Zoom In and Out on the map by clicking on the and icons, or by selecting a Zoom Level directly.
Below the Zoom controls are the controls that allow you to toggle on and off certain information that is displayed over the map.
The right side of the Map Controls section allows you to goto, save, or delete Views.
